Revell Toy Washing Machine
Lew Glaser's company Precision Specialities started toy
production in 1946 with a toy washing machine under the brand
name
Revell ( [1] p. 9).
Only in 1952 was the name of the company changed to Revell
Inc.
([1] ,p16).
According to Graham ( [1] p.10 ) Glaser attempted to perk-up
interest in his toy by making an alliance with Walt Disney
Productions after the sales of this toy sagged. Revell's
Toy Washing Machine became the Minie Mouse
resp. Snow White Toy Washing Machine.
Thereby the brand name "Revell' was reduced in size and was
moved to a rather inconspicuous position in the Mini Mouse
issue ( picture 2 ). It may have disappeared in the Snow White
issue which I cannot confirm as I do not have any other picture
as picture 3, below.
The Snow White issue presented here has a wind-up drive. I
cannot determine if this was standard.

bottom of the boxart and reduced in size considerably.
